It all began with a blind date for these two love birds...and after my meeting both Nikki & Alex over a year ago I couldn't wait to capture their love unfolding on their wedding day. Surrounded by family & friends, they exchanged vows, laughed a lot, had a great wedding party (who even managed to make me blush!), danced to some authentic Basque music, ate from their croquembouche cake, and are currently enjoying their honeymoon!

Baby's First Year - Bakersfield Photographer

Five years of being married and so far, we're not yet ready to start a family (sorry MIL! Give us a few more years!). My dog, Kayla, counts right?? :) However, this job has allowed me to fall in love with photographing babies and their new families! I've been blessed in the past 6 days to meet 3 new babies...and I love that I get to play with them for an hour or so...and more importantly, give them back!

This is also the start of my "Baby's First Year" program that incorporates 4 sessions in order to preserve baby's first year memories, growth, nursery, pets...and surroundings. Tonight we have Carter and his beautiful parents, room, and doggie :) Thanks S. Family for letting me be a part of your lives and I can't wait to capture Carter for his first year!

Family Portraits - Bakersfield Photographer

One of the blessings we found when we moved to Bakersfield was the Great Room Community at Olive Drive Church. That's where we met both of these amazing families....and I just LOVE photographing them! We met up at the pumpkin patch south of town and just went silly :) I had a hard time picking favorites from the 2 sessions, so enjoy lots of photos! This one just cracks me up...such a loving family that always has time for fun and games...poor, unassuming Em! ps. no child was harmed after the photo!

Bridal Session- Bakersfield Photographer

I've had the awesome privilege to do several "after the wedding/bridal portraits/trash the dress sessions" this year, and was so excited when one of my Sept. brides wanted to head to the mountains and get some great Fall colors and running water. We had a blast...she has such a great laugh that is so contagious and made for an easy, fun, fantastic session. Too bad the mountain water was too cold to get completely into...trust me, we had every intention!
