3rd Annual Rock-N-Ride Event

Motorcycles + our local Marine's and Toys 4 Tots = Christmas in July with 98.5 The Fox's 3rd Annual Rock-N-Ride event. I was tagged to photograph riders as they came into the second stop, the new Bakersfield National Cemetery. It was a fun-filled day that started off at the Bakersfield Harley Davidson for registration and ended up at Ethel's Old Corral for prizes and drinks! Here are a few of the shots, but the rest can be viewed and purchased here.

Bakersfield Maternity Photo Shoot

I had the great pleasure of photographing mommy-to-be, Charisse and her husband Will this past weekend. They were studs when it came to modeling in the lovely Bakersfield heat...it was only 104 degrees outside when we started shooting at 7pm!! Thanks you two for letting me capture this special moment in your lives! Can't wait to meet the peanut :)
I love the belly comparison! :)

Mt. Rushmore at Night

I cannot even begin to explain how amazed I am at the photos I was able to get Thursday night. My father, brother and I headed to Mt. Rushmore to see the monument lit up...and what should happen? A lightning storm! About 10 min. later, we got quarter inch hail on our car, but man, timing is everything! These are my two favorites..and untouched post prossessing! An for those of you who asked, I had to hand hold this since I didn't travel from CA with my tripod and shot f/2.8 1/60 at ISO 2500 (Nikon D700). Very exciting that George is crisp and I have little to no noise!

July 4th Bakersfield Wedding!

This Independence Day, I got to celebrate by photographing Britt & Gabe's wedding! What an amazing couple who were full of smiles and surrounded by great friends and family! I had such an enjoyable day and can't wait to show them a few photos. Photos should be available at www.pictage.com/683811 by next week.

If you're a Bakersfield bride and like what you see, here are the vendors they used:
Church: St Francis of Assisi, H Street
Reception: The Bistro Ballroom, Four Points Sheraton
DJ: Moonlight Music & Video 303-8105
Cake: Smith's Bakery

This was my Disneyland couple...he proposed to her at Sleeping Beauty's Castle! So, my small gift to them was this "Just Married" Disney car ball :) I thought it was too cute!

Congrats Britt & Gabe!!!

Central California Photography Safari!

Two weekends ago, another photographer and I drove leisurely up the California Coast looking for beautiful things to photograph! We started in Cambria, CA and ended up in Big Sur. It was a cold weekend (nice change of pace from the Bakersfield HEAT!) but there was SO much fog covering up the ocean and coastline...so, here are some inland photos and a few coast pictures. Enjoy!!! p.s. if anyone is looking to get married at a cute location check the Cambra Pines Lodge out! The Big Sur bridge...I named these two beautiful horses Butterscotch and Reese's...
This was the most picturesque farm home I've ever seen!

An old farm truck that was begging to be photographed.
Another bridge, School house down from Hearst Castle, and some beautiful red leaves.
Just a few of the amazing flowers at the Cambria Pines Lodge:

Opening of the Bakersfield National Cemetery

July 1, 2009 the Bakersfield National Cemetery had it's opening burials. The Reserve Marines were in attendance and asked me to photograph the event for them. What a privilege to be there to witness 6 years of hard work to create a final resting place for our country's Veterans in the beautiful Tehachapi mountains at the Tejon Ranch just west of Bakersfield, CA. Also, the editor of the National Cemetery Administration News in Washington DC has asked to publish my photos, so I'm very honored to be a part of that. Hoo-rah!
