I've had the privilege to photograph the Martinez family twice now and love that I get to see baby J growing into a little man.I almost didn't recognize him from his newborn photos! I just loved their coordinating outfits and the facial expressions I was able to get. Thank you guys for allowing me to capture your family and good luck Peter...stay safe and you'll be in our prayers! Hoo-rah!

Freyday Free-for all - Bakersfield Photographer

It's Freyday!! Hi everyone...hope this week has gone well for you all. I've been so blessed to be busy with some amazing clients. Lots of engagement shoots to share in the upcoming weeks now that wedding season is upon us (I was also told it's now "fishing season" as well for those of you not into 'wedding season' haha!) . One of the best parts about my job is the fact that I get to combine photography with traveling...and today is one of those days! I'm in the beautiful city of San Francisco visiting family and getting to take more pictures of my cousin's beautiful daughter..... We got to enjoy some family time and take in the views...how stunning is this view?! Have a wonderful weekend everyone and happy Freyday!

Birthday Cake photos - Bakersfield Photographer

We have some amazing friends here in Bakersfield, and I've loved getting to see this little guy grow up and can't believe he's now a 2 year old! So, to celebrate, I got him a cake and got permission to let him just dig in for me and my camera....Except we soon found out, this is not an ordinary 2 year old, and really didn't want to get his hands dirty! Lots of laughter ensued as we watched him get excited about a fork....

And then getting his hands cleaned after dad tried to show him the way....
And finally, we were done. Cake had gotten on his pants and he was not going to let the outfit get dirty!
Thanks guys for letting me be a part of his birthday celebration! I had a blast and can't wait to continue to be a part of his life!

Family & Baby Portraits - San Francisco Photographer

A week and a half ago, I got to head up to the San Francisco area to see family and take some photos! My cousin Eric is in the Coast Guard and now that his family is stationed in the San Francisco area instead of A.L.A.S.K.A....I get to see them more often and meet their oh so beautiful (I might be biased being that we share blood dna, or whatever) daughter! Here are a few from our trip into the city to document Cerys' first year of life with some touristy backdrops. And did I mention I got treated to some YUMMY sourdough-bread lunch at Bourdain's? mmmmm...mouth watering yumminess.

Baby's First Year - Bakersfield Photographer

Five years of being married and so far, we're not yet ready to start a family (sorry MIL! Give us a few more years!). My dog, Kayla, counts right?? :) However, this job has allowed me to fall in love with photographing babies and their new families! I've been blessed in the past 6 days to meet 3 new babies...and I love that I get to play with them for an hour or so...and more importantly, give them back!

This is also the start of my "Baby's First Year" program that incorporates 4 sessions in order to preserve baby's first year memories, growth, nursery, pets...and surroundings. Tonight we have Carter and his beautiful parents, room, and doggie :) Thanks S. Family for letting me be a part of your lives and I can't wait to capture Carter for his first year!

Baby Levi! Bakersfield Photographer

WOW!!! Our amazing friends just had their second boy on Sunday and let me come visit them and meet their new little one. I love being their personal paparrazi!! And of course LOVED meeting Levi and he allowed me to photograph him only 4 hours old...such a beautiful baby, and such wonderful parents. CONGRATS!!!

If you remember Charisse's maternity photo session (here) then you know I met the 'peanut' back in July! Now, I have photos from our session last week when baby Elle was only 4 days old! She did such a great job sleeping and following my camera with her eyes. Congrats mom and dad!
