Solvang Trip - Bakersfield Photographer

For those of you who live in CA, do you ever see those billboards along the 5 for Andersen's Famous Pea Soup? Well, after finding a free weekend and wanting to spend some quality time with the hubby, we decided to head the 3 hours to Solvang where this pea soup is and the cutest little Dutch settlement. Surprisingly enough to my mother, I ordered the pea soup and actually really enjoyed it! Of course I documented our fun to share with you all! Enjoy!
It doesn't look fantastic, but it actually is...good thing they're famous for it!
We rocked it in the gift shop. I heart Pea Soup!
Here it is...settled a long time ago and super cute!
Enjoying some Dutch/Belguim? hot chocolate and coffee.....whip cream, yes please!
Can you tell we're the touristy people who actually do the 'face in the cut-out'?!
Yes please, I'd like to try on some of your wooden shoes. They knew we were coming and had both my size and Eric size just on the floor waiting for our feet.

Santa Monica photo trip!

What a beautiful location!! I spent a good part of the week hanging out in Santa Monica/Venice Beach/Marina del Ray...and of course took my camera everywhere! I also managed to get quite a sunburn, but that's a lesson for another day! Enjoy the photos...and future/current clients...if you EVER want to do a photo session on the AWESOME pier, let me know! I will always be game to do a shoot there for engagements, senior portraits, headshots, family fun photo sessions, you name it!

D.C. Contest

It's been another week of updating the website and making the flow of things easier to use...along with my final week of class! I wanted to share with you the photo that I selected to be entered in the FotoWeek in Washington D.C. It had to be something that represented the "Spirit of D.C.". After spending quite a lot of time there, and loving the photographic opportunities, I chose this one:

I recently had my professional lab blow this picture up, and am still amazed at how I captured what I feel is the essence of D.C. with 4 different monuments lit up at night.

This has led to a change on the website and I've categorized the images for sale into different folders so that those of you who are drawn to the travel photos of D.C., NYC, Yosemite, or any of the other fun locations I go to, can easily access them. If you're interested in seeing my other D.C. photos, head on over to the Travel Gallery inside the "Images for Sale". Or click here: http://www.jessicafreyphotography.com/-/jessicafreyphotography/galleryindex.asp

Thanks for looking! Have a great week!
