Non-Traditional Staff Photos - Bakersfield Photographer

I know this isn't news to those who follow my photography, but I am not a studio photographer. I enjoy getting creative with clients to come up with something out of the box involving natural, yummy, God-given light. I had the opportunity to help my friends who are also at Olive Drive Church update their staff photos last week. They wanted something a bit different, so we all headed out to the train tracks and found a great overpass and backdrop for photos. Enjoy! Fashion/Bridal Shoot - Bakersfield Photographer

I've come to the conclusion that I LOVE styling photo shoots and using my creativity and vision to showcase my view on the world. When Ashley contacted me about doing another photo shoot together, I jumped on the chance to work with local vendors and see what we could come up with. My main concept was color and revolved heavily around the use of the beautiful yellow damask chaise lounge from Little White Dress. Add to it smoking hot dresses and the beautiful colors of nature, and here's what we came up with:

50's pinup fun! Bakersfield Photographer

Who doesn't love vintage 50's housewives baking cookies, cupcakes, and drinking martini's?! Not sure what you did, but that's how my Saturday went! I got invited by my awesome fellow photographer, Jennifer Williams (check her blog this week to see her shots, plus some of me!) to come shoot and participate in a vintage 50's/pinup photoshoot! We had an awesome makeup artist and hair stylist who worked their magic and made all 4 of us look rockin' :) We did a Valentine's day theme with Jen's vintage kitchen and had a great time! 2010 Vows Cover - Bakersfield Life Magazine

Some of you who follow my Facebook Fan Page and Twitter know how excited I am for this photoshoot to come out! The Bakersfield Californian/Bakrsfield Life released the 2010 VOWS wedding planner in Saturday's newspaper. It will also be around town and distributed all year long at bridal events. I enjoyed this shoot so much and was so excited to execute the concept of 'elegant/rustic' wedding in my mind onto paper. Juliane did an amazing job, and the bouqet Amanda made was such an awesome touch to really give it the full rustic elegance I was shooting for! Of couse I'd like to thank everyone again for their help in making this a sucessful cover shoot!
