A few weeks ago, I got the chance to take photos for an article the Bakersfield Life Magazine was doing on our local Nutcracker performance. I really enjoyed meeting these amazing dancers as they performed bits from their performances for me to capture.

I love that they have their son doing pull-ups at 3 months. It's never to early to get their muscles going...especially if you know my husband!
Grey skies, check. Rain, check. Cold temperatures, check. Awesome couple up for anything and ready to rock an engagement session in those conditions, check. I love when the weather isn't perfect and we can really play with the surrounding beauty and nature...especially at the gardens in Tehachapi where these two lovebirds are getting married this spring! It was a photographer's dream and I can't wait to see it's rustic charm in the spring. Thanks Gabby & Jeff for a fun session and exploring with me! 
A week and a half ago, I got to head up to the San Francisco area to see family and take some photos! My cousin Eric is in the Coast Guard and now that his family is stationed in the San Francisco area instead of A.L.A.S.K.A....I get to see them more often and meet their oh so beautiful (I might be biased being that we share blood dna, or whatever) daughter! Here are a few from our trip into the city to document Cerys' first year of life with some touristy backdrops. And did I mention I got treated to some YUMMY sourdough-bread lunch at Bourdain's? mmmmm...mouth watering yumminess.
A little history for those who didn't know me in my glory days in high school...let it be known that I was a pretty decent 300 meter hurdler for our track team! Why do you need to know this? Well, we had a pretty close group of guys and girls that would practice the hurdles together...and now, almost 10 years later I got the chance to meet up with Colin, a fellow Dripping Springs hurdler, and his new fiancee to do some engagement photos in San Francsico! It was so fun getting to catch up, meet Sandie, and enjoy the touristy spots of such a cool city! Enjoy you two and have fun planning your wedding!!
