Girlstart

I had the pleasure of hanging out with the wonderful staff at Girlstart yesterday in Austin, Tx. We updated the staff photos for their website and blog and were able to get a couple of great group shots with their letters!
Girlstart is a non-profit organization created to empower girls to excel in math, science, and technology. Founded in 1997 in Austin, Texas, Girlstart has quickly established itself as a best-case practices leader in empowering, educating, and motivating girls to enjoy and become more proficient in math, science and technology. I flew back to Texas, my native home for a quick vacation and my brother's college graduation. It's such a beautiful city and wonderful to be back! Family Fun in Bakersfield!

This past Sunday morning, I had the privilege of photographing my friend Jessica and her new fiancee and step daughter. What a beautiful family...congratulations and thank you for allowing me to capture all the fun we had in downtown Bakersfield! Also, a HUGE thank you to the Guthrie's Alley Cat bar! What a fun location!!
